Universally accessible film screening at In-Edit music doc film fest

Updated: Jan 23

A universally accessible screening of the film "The Beatles and India" with SDH subtitles provided by ATLAS E.P. and audio description provided by Thanasis Papantonopoulos will take place at In-Edit music documentary film festival.

Beatles' faces in comic form to the left and right of the film's title. Boho drawings with flowers and colours.

George, John, Paul and Ringo, left behind the glamour of their fame and their lives in the West in order to join a remote monastery in the Himalayas, where they retreated in search of the spiritual wellbeing that gave rise to an unprecedented burst of creative songwriting. Some members were more engaged than the others. For the band's history, this journey was the most pivotal, as the "White Album" was created right after its conclusion.

A fascinating music documentary that is narrating the moment in which the band joined the transcendental meditation movement, experienced a spiritual summer of love in Rishikesh and, using its colossial influence, which was larger than that of any politician, movie star or religious leader, turned the attention of the world to India, a country that was until then overlooked by the West.
