Since 2000 and the Sydney Games, when the Greek Paralympic movement began to develop, the Greek delegations have always been the most successful, returning with a double-digit number of medals. Great athletes have donned the national emblem in order to represent Greece in the biggest celebration of the Paralympic movement and this year at the 2024 Games, France is delivering the message of inclusion loud and clear. The Olympic and the Paralympic Games carry the same weight and are equally significant, which is how the organisers treat them.

The Greek delegation will depart for Paris on Wednesday (August 20th) morning, but tomorrow will be the official presentation of the team, which consists of 13 Paralympic medallists and is full of great athletes as well as young men and women with big goals who dream of returning from Paris with a medal.

The official presentation is scheduled to start at 19:00 and it will be hosted at the Agora of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center which supports the endeavours of the Hellenic Paralympic Committee. The Greek delegation consists of 37 athletes, a guide in athletics and two ramp operators in boccia.
